No sooner had I repositioned these blocks when Archie weighed in with an alternative arrangement, which leaves me seriously questioning his design skills...
I appreciate the suggestion, but I think I'll stick with my original layout.

Maybe Archie needs to take a class.
Too funny!
Cats are total design geniuses and should be given free reign over all projects! Viva Archie!
(Of course, your original design rocks, so maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about. And that actually looks like a pattern I might be able to handle - though I still get hives at the thought of more than three fabrics at once. Maybe I should get a cat.)
i'm seeing zig zags...love this arrangement! (cats...what do they know!)
The zig-zag arrangement is very nice - and the quilt is fun to look at. Archie is a very good name for your cat - shows his unique character. His quilt arrangement is unique too.
I love the zig zag arrangement! I am a big fan of scrappy quilts too. I love all the colors. ;) Archie is a pretty cute helper;although, I do agree that he may need some design classes in his future-or maybe he just wanted the focus on him...
