In love...

I think yellow and blue is my all-time favorite color combination, and I am absolutely in love with this little quilt.

At 40" square, it's a good little lap or baby size. I'm not sure if it's the off-centeredness of it or what -- I made this quilt out of many of the same fabrics three years ago and wasn't half as enthralled -- but there's just something about it that's making me want one for my bed. Note the wall color -- wouldn't it be great?

I used a rose print for the backing that I originally bought to use for the bedroom curtains. The striped binding, a much less bold choice than what I had planned, is perfect.

And of course, what's a photo shoot without the cat? I swear, he can hear the shutter click from the other end of the condo and comes running.

This one is definitely going on my wish list.

Even if I didn't share the love for yellow and blue, I would still love this quilt. The design is wonderful and it's hard to believe these are mostly the same fabrics used in the quilt you reference being made several years ago. Did you have a pattern/directions or did you just make it up as you went along? I'm sitting here looking a at a yellow wall thinking "I should make one like that for a wall hanging." Congratulations on such a beautiful quilt!

What a pretty quilt! Blue and yellow are so happy together, and I love the striped binding and the off-center design. No wonder it's on your list. Archie is such a good quilt inspector and a pretty boy!

Wow, that quilt is gorgeous! The colour combination is just delightful. I also like your triangles - even though the white strip is a lot of work, it is going to look amazing. And your strips with that Kona navy look great too. What a week!
