I finally got my Bernina back from service! There is much joy in Chicago this weekend! And there's going to be much sewing, too!

wooohooo! i know how that feels. sooo good.
I bet the quilt will be just fine even with the squishing fabric. Once you wash it I imagine you'll not be able to see the imperfections you are seeing now (I, however, did not see any).
