Call the National UFO Reporting Center...

...because there's been a sighting of colossal proportion. In fact, they've taken over my sofa.

I realize that some of these projects, for one reason or another, are destined to remain unfinished forever -- but in an effort to reduce the amount of fabric in my household, this is another goal for 2009: Reduce. The. Pile.

And get my sofa back.

Seriously, there is a website where you can report these things.

Well, sort of.

Thank you so much for posting that photo. It's good to know I'm not alone.

I love the one with the green and black and white. Super cute colors! I vote for finishing that one first so we can see a picture!

Hi kate, just wanted to let you know how much I really enjoy reading your blog; I love your sense of humor. Good luck with the UFOs; If you decide some of the UFO's won't ever get finished, and want to send them to someone, let me know. I love working on other people's projects--working out of your usual comfort zone is so much fun. They typically go back to the original owner or get donated (Project LInus is easy here)

Kate, you are so funny, and it's comforting to know I am not the only one. The ufo's can be finished off, or some can be considered as a learning step that you have put behind you. There is always a reason why some projects get left behind. Most of mine are poor colorchoices, I think. And I like to spend my time on quilts I can believe in.... So, IMHO, a few ufo's is a sign of progress.
